TH – Sung Men to Santi Suk

10.11.24 -Day 10 North of Thailand

Even that the resort was not too bad, the night there was not really successful. Very loud as many guest arrived late in the night and still a lot of traffic on the main road. Especially the teenage with modified exhausts were really annoying.

When we started at 08.50 am, even the coffee could not help to wake us up… so a bit dizzy on the bike.

Riding the main highway to pass by Phrae (the city) with a lot of traffic was boring like hell.

Even on smaller roads (route 1120) a lot of traffic – especially trucks which transport stones.

Things got better as we turned right on route 1091 and arrived back to Nan. The route 1091 is a great ride!!

Out of the mountains and close to Nan (the city) it got quite hot. And, especially on the route 1169 the (motorbike) traffic increased drastically. No wonder about that, that’s the main route to the famous “Curve 3” in Nan on the 1081.

The “Curve 3”, we visited already in 2021 during Covid. Very quiet at this time.

For a late lunch we got a delicious pizza and found a nice place to stay.
Called “The Rey” for 850 THB. No breakfast but quiet and great views on the rice fields and mountains.

Just 217 km today and a lot of highway riding. But ok for that we both still where not fresh.

Time to take a nap now!!
