GER – Epic time in the Altmühl Valley
14.07./15.07.24
The first longer trip with the BMW R1250 GSA for this year.
Started not too early at 9 am to visit my oldest friend Martin.
We know each other since we are 14 yrs old and even our life developed in divergent ways, we still meet and have a lot of fun together.
And lucky that this guy live in one of the most beautiful areas of Bavaria, Germany, in the Altmühl Valley.
This is a motorcycle riders paradise with good roads, a great landscape and lots of twists.
When going there, I can choose go on the main highway (what is fast but boring) or go on smaller roads and visit some great places.
As Martin loves to ride motorbikes as well, we went after a late breakfast for a ride as well.
The ride was not too far – just 66 km as we had this time some other plans out of motorcycles.
Martin has a PPL (Private Pilot License), so he invited for a trip by plane. It was great, I love this small 2 seater. It`s fast and maneuverable- and easy to fly.
After arriving back home, I needed to celebrate that I survived (just kidding) – in Bavaria for this you drink beer.
The next day we had breakfast and I started at 9.30 am back home on smaller roads.
220 km just fun to ride. Absolutely worth to plan with the GPX file if you go from the North to the South or vice versa.
Find the details of the trip here.
All in all a great time with great people!!! Love you guy‘s!!!
