Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur
Visiting Kuala Lumpur was in our plan.
We need to stay 4 nights here (what was not in the plan) as there is some problem with the suspension of the motorbike since our trip to the Cameron Highlands.
Sad, really sad as this kills the trip and we are wasting time. It’s Chinese New Year and all the shops including Triumph are closed.

So let’s explore and take a rest when it’s getting hot.
We stay in the Concorde hotel. Good value for the money, great location and safe parking.
The part of Kuala Lumpur called KLCC is clean. Very clean.
You get all kinds of food, there are great shopping malls with all the more or less famous brand names. In general this feels like a western city.
All tourist attractions can be reached by walking or take a taxi or Grab.
But, there is a lot of traffic and you might get rejected by the taxi. Happened to us, this is not friendly.
I believe, that everyone knows the very famous landmark – the Petronas Towers.

Once it opens, the dark blue building is the second highest building, 678,9m high, in the world named “Merdeka 118”. In my eyes, the architecture is great!! Unfortunately, in 2024, it’s not open yet.

River of Life with the Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, Merdeka Square with the Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad building and some street art we visited as well. And not to forget, the second highest flag pole in Malaysia.

As your can see on the photos, at Chinese New Year the city is full with people. Especially thousands of Indians. They have a couple of days holiday and go travel.
On our last day we visited the Thean Hou Temple. The temple is the largest Chinese temple in South East Asia. It’s recommended to visit the temple in Chinese New Year – the decoration is phantastic.

This time there are a lot of photos in the post. When you klick on them, they should enlarge.
Tomorrow we will visit Triumph and check what is wrong with the bike. Hopefully it’s a small problem and can be fixed fast.
Stay tuned guy’s and enjoy yourself!!
