Sisaket (TH) to Singapore – Ep 9
Thailand – Gong Valley to Khura Buri
211 km today, mostly on Hwy 4 – also called Phet Kasem Road.
Hwy 4 is the main highway to the South of Thailand / Malaysia.
The construction of the road was finished in 1950 and was named “Phet Kasem” on December 10, 1950 in honour Luang Phet Kasemwithisawasdi (Tham Phetkasem), formerly the seventh director deputy general of the State Highways Department.
With a lengh of 1.274 km, Hwy 4 is the longest highway in Thailand.
The ride on the Hwy 4 was not such bad as it might sound. Nice scenery and even some curves and twists.
On the way, we visited the Talae Nok Beach.
and the Pea Pas Beach.
Both beaches where surprisingly clean and almost no people.
For travelers with a tent perfect spots for camping as you have villages nearby.
Sang had the 1st day of the monthly women’s issue, so we did not go far.
The Vannamei Resort in Khura Buri, Pang Nga was a great place to relax. 900 THB per night is a great value for the money.
Find the detailed trip in the Calimoto link.
Ride safe guy’s and enjoy yourself!!!
