TH – Rasisalai to Khon Kaen

01.11.24 – Day 1 North of Thailand

Living in Isaan has some great advantages. And some disadvantages as well.
One of the disadvantages is, that you need to travel a longer distance to the beach or to the mountains.
So today we will start our trip to the North of Thailand.
We took it easy, got up early, got our motorbike packed up, had a relaxed breakfast.

Started at 09.30 am with still cool weather of around 26 degrees C.

This time we decided not to go all the way on the main highway and choose some smaller roads instead. Having a look the rice fields and discussing if the rice looking good this year while riding. We had a lot of fun for sure.

We met some guys working in a road construction. They started a discussion about how is it possible to ride such a big and heavy motorcycle like the GS.

I not let them try and find out by themselves that it is very very easy!

When we arrived in Khon Kaen at 1.30 pm it started getting hot. So time to check in in our hotel, cool down a bit, find food and visit a friend. Mr Non, the owner of Scomadi in Khon Kaen. He invited us to the Night Life Ride Party. A biker event open for all brands.

At 06.30 pm we showed up there – I have to say it was fun to watch the bikes and the riders and how they act.

After a couple of beers and good chats it was time to end the day and go to sleep.

The ride today was boring but we had a real good time with old friends and met also some interesting new people.
