Cologne to Gibraltar – day 8

Saint Sauveur Camprieu (F) to Sant Feliu de Guixols (E)

The weather forecast said rain for the next couple of days north of the Pyrenees I decided to cross the mountains as fast as possible and stay somewhere at the coast in Spain.

The plan was, not to go too far south. The Pyrenees were still on my list. Especially Andorra, where I have never been before.

So a 364 km ride – 100 km in the mountains, that was pretty nice. 260 km on the highway, that was very boring.
Especially the strong side wind in France did not make this ride a pleasant one.

What a difference – when arrived in Sant Feliu de Giuxols people were walking around in shorts and flip flops. You can imagine, my mood rose by 100 %.

So all in all a good decision to flee the rain and having some more relaxed time instead.
