Triumph Tiger 1200 —> BMW 1250 GS

BMW R1250 GS Adventure

One of the best decisions I have made in this year was to swap this

Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer to this black beast,

a BMW 1250 GS Adventure.

Why this decision? It’s all about a peaceful and stress free life.

Don’t misunderstand me, the Triumph itself is a good motorbike with an awesome engine and some technical features you not find at the 2023 GSA.

But Triumph is currently growing their dealership coverage in Europe so many dealers are new in the business. They have to learn and improve themselves, what is normal. But not with my motorbike! And not with me because I want to ride and not be used as a test object.

During the 12.000 km and 3 month I owned the Tiger it turned out that you hardly find dealers at the moment who have a clue, know what they are doing and what they are talking about.

And on top, BMW is the market leader in ADV bikes. The + 40 years experience, the “Made in Germany” (GS / GSA for the European market are built in Berlin) you can feel, you can see in general and in small details (like the mount for the navigation device or smartphone) and when riding it’s definitely one level higher than the Tiger.

With the BMW I traveled not much yet. But the first impressions after 2.000 km are really positive.

I really look forward to go on a long distance trip (plans are in my mind already) and have tons of fun then.

So let’s say good bye to the Tiger here in Europe and let’s look positive into a relaxed riding future with the black BMW named “Coal”.
