Gibraltar to Munich – day 2

The day started well.
Sunshine, warm, nice breakfast and a great ride for around 50 km in the Algarve mountains on small and twisty roads.
Arriving back into „civilisation“ it seemed like everyone woke up at the same time. And decided to travel on the same road – the N 125. This road is the „coastal“ road along the Algarve.
I rode it to the east and it was a pain in the ass. Traffic, every 2 km a roundabout and speed limits all the time. Maybe because it was Sunday, but the drivers where not really skilled.
My advice – travel in the mountains if you can.

Sagres was my first destination to go. Worth to visit is the Fortress of Sagres and the
Cape St.Vincen with it’s lighthouse. Stunning landscape and a nice beach.

It seems like everyone and everything is concentrated on the Algarve area. Going up North on the N 120, almost no traffic anymore. Very relaxed riding.
You will arrive in Santiago do Cacém. If you like Roman history, visit the Miróbriga ruins.

Nice there but very hot, especially with the motorbike gear.

This 300 km ride ended in a great accommodation close to Grândola.

Ride safe guy’s and enjoy yourself!
