Sisaket (TH) to Singapore – Ep 4

Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer off-road in Thailand

Thailand – Kanchanaburi to Nong Ya Plong

This day had everything:

12 degrees up to 36 degrees
40 km off-road riding, twisty roads and straight roads drawn like with a ruler.

But let’s start from the beginning.

Set the alarm at 5.30 am, got up at 6 am and found out that is still very very dark and freaking cold.
After a 3 in 1 coffee and instant noodle breakfast we started at 7 am.

14 degrees, time for turn on the heating grips of the Tiger.

After around 15 min from the Thung Lek Relax Resort, the fun started. Almost 40 km off-road riding.
A new experience for me with someone on the pillion seat. Both, the motorbike and Sang did very well! And me, I did well as well because not dropped the bike!!

Great view on the Srinakarin Dam along the way.

After those dusty roads, time for cleaning the throat in Erawan. Great view on the River Kwae Yai included.

Out of the mountains it got hot immediately. Up to 36 degrees.

In our plan was to visit some viewpoint close to the Myanmar border. Once we arrived there, we found out that you need to rent a car for go up to the viewpoints. A quick search informed us, that it takes up to 1 hr driving as the roads are really bad.

Due to the hot weather and the fact that can’t go by motorbike, we skipped that and decided to continue until we get tired or too hot or both.

Found an abandoned resort on the way. This is build on military land and the Royal Thai Army did not continue the contract. So the “owner” gave up. Nice location close to a small lake in the mountains. Would have been great to stay there.

The ride from Kanchanaburi to Ratchaburi in the mountains was great. We rode as close as possible along the Myanmar border.

At 3 pm it was enough. Too hot, too tired so let’s check about a place to stay. We found the Leaves Valley Resort in Nong Ya Plong, Phetchaburi what was along the way so we took this. Not really a smart decision. Very expensive for what you get. Not recommended!!!

346 km direction South – we get closer to Singapore!!

Find the details of the trip in the Calimoto link.

Ride safe guy’s and enjoy yourself!
