Cologne to Gibraltar – day 25

No progress on the way to Gibraltar today!!!!!

Just riding with no plan today, more or less around a small city in the Sierra Nevada called Orgiva. Orgiva is a good location for trips into the mountains. The Hotel Puerta Nazari is recommended by many motorbike riders. And they are true. Friendly staff, good food, clean rooms and safe parking for the motorbike in a garage.

Well, there was a plan – some sort of. I wanted to visit Trevelez. A city/village in the mountains, famous for the air-cured hams. As I started early in the morning and as it’s Sunday, all the shops selling ham – and the village is full of them – were closed. Never mind, I tried the ham for breakfast today, it was delicious!

The ride today was like meditation. Hide everything, just concentrated on the road, the scenery and the motorbike. A totally peaceful and smooth drift.

All in all a fantastic 233 km trip.
Today I feel tired but very relaxed, very calm and very satisfied. Thanks to “Hermano Tigre” (Brother Tiger) for carrying me to this beautiful part of the world and for having a great time together!
